EMU MEATS

Endorsed by the American Heart Association as a heart healthy red meat, emu is fast becoming a choice of many health concious consumers. Emu is high in iron and protein, and low in fat and cholesterol. In a two year study of alternative red meats by the University of Wisconsin, emu scored best in 15 of 20 nutritional catagories. But not only is emu meat a healthy food; chefs from many upscale restaurants are finding that emu meat is tender and delicious, appreciated for it's tendency to absorb the flavors of the spices and other ingredients with which it is cooked. The taste and texture of emu meat is comparable to premium cuts of grass fed beef.

At Hassu Lintu Emu Ranch, emus are free range, grain fed and raised without the use of growth promotants, hormones or antibiotics.
